Triften+/, Owned by Dolorosa Arabians

Trowbridges, Ltd. is excited to have Multiple National Champion English Pleasure Horse and Sire Triften +/ join own roster of breeding horses.  During his show career, Triften+/ was one of the industry's most successful and well-respected English Pleasure Horses, and amassed seven National Championships along with over twenty national awards.  Something to keep in mind when comparing Triften+/ to today's performance horses was that his show career spanned the time frame when all horses were shown in a simple 14 ounce shoe, with only one leather pad permitted. As a show horse, Triften+/ was highly respected by horsemen and judges alike, and was known for his consistency in the show ring and the training barn and an effervescent and charismatic performance every time he hit the ring.

Triften +/ is sired by the Zodiac Matador son Matrifik and out of the beautiful Barbary daughter Tender Mercies, who is herself out of the great *Eter daughter Winderset, who traces back on her tail female side to some of the most notable Spanish bloodlines, renowned for their strength and power, especially in the hind leg.

Producing hind leg power is Triften's signature specialty, and with no crosses to Huckleberry Bey, he is the perfect choice for the Afire Bey V bloodlines that are so prevalent in today's English performance Arabians, and he crosses equally well with mares of Kuhailan Polish lines as well. Besides a strong and functional hind leg, Triften+/ produces foals of high quality with excellent work ethics and trainability.  A large percentage of his foals are bay, and he often stamps them with four tidy white socks.

With over 200 foals on the ground, Triften+/ is today entering the second phase of his breeding career, when a stallion's offspring have matured enough to have shown their true mettle in the show ring and breeding shed. Triften+/ has scores of both Purebred and Half Arabian National winners in the English, Country English, Show Hack and Hunter arenas, among them industry greats that include DA Trinidad, DA Tripolis, DA Tristen, and DA Chill Me Thrill Me. Besides a strong and functional hind leg, Triften produces foals of high quality with excellent work ethics and trainability. A large percentage of his foals are bay, and he consistently stamps them with low, even white socks.

Both Trowbridges, Ltd. and Dolorosa Arabians believe that perpetuating the purebred Arabian horse is paramount to the Arabian breed today. In today's economic climate, we feel that it is important to facilitate breeders in any way that we possibly can, and so have decided to offer the following unprecedented stud fee options for Triften in 2009.

For Purebred Mares:

Stud Fee Paid at time foal stands and nurses: $2000


For Half Arabian or Other Breeds:
Stud Fee Paid at time of First shipment of semen: $1500

Trowbridge's goal is to provide our customers with timely and consistent service, and if at all possible we will ship to our mare owners any day but Sunday and Monday. A call a few days ahead of when you think your mare will be cycling will be appreciated, as well as before 12 noon on the day of shipment.
